Double Presentation on Saturday, Social on Sunday

On Saturday 23rd Jul7 2010, at 6pm there will be a double presentation at the Rat & Ratchet, Chapel Hill, Huddersfield, HD1 3EB (map). We will be presenting the Yorkshire Cider Pub 2011 (runner up) and Huddersfield Mild Pub of the Year 2011 awards.

On Sunday 24th July we will be having a Marsden afternoon crawl. Meet at the Railway, 34 Station Road, Marsden, HD7 6DH (map) at 1pm if you want to eat at the Railway before the crawl, or 2pm if you just want to do the crawl.

We will then move on to Puleside WMC, Conservative Club, Swan, Liberal Club & Riverhead.

Trains from Huddersfield Rail Station at 12:37 or 13:37. First Buses from Huddersfield Bus Station – 182 at 15 minutes past the hour, 185 at 50 minutes past the hour.

Mild Club of the Year 2011 Presentation & an Independent Brewery crawl around Huddersfield

On Friday 1st July 2011 at 8pm,  we will be making the Mild Club of the Year 2011 Presentation to Marsh Liberal Club, Marsh, Huddersfield, HD3 4AL (map).

This coincides with the first day of their two day Beer Festival.

Catch the 19:46 372 First Bus from Westgate, Huddersfield.

 

On Monday 4th July 2011 at 7:30pm, we will be having a crawl around Huddersfield town centre to see how many independent brewery beers we can manage.

We will meet Slubbers Arms, Hillhouse, HD1 6HW (map) at 7:30pm. Then we will move on to the Sportsman, Kings Head, Cherry Tree & finish at Grove approx 10pm.

Also, on Saturday & Sunday this weekend it is the Monkeyfest 5 Beer Festival at Armitage Bridge Monkey Club, Dean Brook Road, Armitage Bridge, HD4 7PB (map).

Social crawl of Slaithwaite on Wed 29th June

We will be holding a Social crawl around Slaithwaite at 7:30pm on Wednesday 29th June 2011.

We will meet at the Swan, Crimble, Slaithwaite, HD7 5BQ (map) at 7:30pm, then on to the Wharfeside and the Commercial.

Catch the 19:15 182 First Bus from Huddersfield Bus Station, or the 19:30 train from Huddersfield Railway Station.

Emley Village Trail & White Horse on Sat 11th June

On Saturday 11th June 2011, we will be walking the Emley Village Trail & then visiting the White Horse. The Trail is a short walk (3 miles) on paths and lanes around the village. We will then head to the White Horse, 2 Chapel Lane, Emley, HD8 9SP (map) for a pint and a bite to eat.

Catch the 10:50 232 Huddersfield Bus Company bus from Huddersfield Bus Station. If you do not want to do the walk, then catch either the 11:50 or 12:50 232, and just meet up with us at the White Horse.

Branch Meeting at Slubbers Arms & Mild Crawl

On Monday 23rd May 2011 at 8pm, we will be holding our next Branch Meeting at the Slubbers Arms, Hillhouse, HD1 6HW (map). The Slubbers is now being run by CAMRA member Bill Brogan as a free house, and offers a range of guest & Taylor’s beers. Catch the 19:25 363 First bus from Huddersfield Bus Station.

On Wednesday 25th May 2011 at 7:30pm we will be having a Mild Crawl around Huddersfield Town Centre. We will meet at the Star, Folly Hall, Huddersfield, HD1 3PJ (map),  and then move on to the Rat & Ratchet, Grove, Sportsman & Kings Head. How many milds can we find?

Beer Festivals, Branch Diary

Social at Wills O’ Nats, Blackmoorfoot & Halifax Mayfest

We will be having a social at the Wills O Nats, Blackmoorfoot, Meltham, HD9 5PS (map) on Monday 9th May 2011 at 8pm.

Catch the 19:15 182 First bus from Huddersfield Bus Station. Get off at Blackmoorfoot and it is a 30 mins scenic walk to Wills O Nats (map).

Also, the Halifax CAMRA Mayfest will be taking place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th May at the Square Chapel, Halifax.
