Pub of the Year 2011 (Joint Award), Sportsman, Huddersfield

The Sportsman was a deserved joint winner of the Huddersfield CAMRA Pub of the Year 2011. Fittingly, the presentation took place two years after the day when the pub reopened, and during their 2nd Birthday Beer Festival. Eight quality handpumped real ales, with a strong commitment to LocaAle beers, and a range of real cider are always available. The sympathetically restored interior has ensured the pub a place in CAMRA’s ‘Yorkshire Real Ale Heritage Pubs’ book.
