Beer Festival Wash-up Meeting on Thu 7th Nov

On Thursday 7th November, at 8pm, we will be holding a Beer Festival Wash-up Meeting at the Rat & Ratchet, Chapel Hill, Huddersfield, HD1 3EB.

Anyone involved in the planning of, or anyone who worked at the Beer Festival is welcome to come along and discuss the recent beer festival and how we can improve things for next year.

Huddersfield Oktoberfest 2013 Beers of the Festival

Here are the results of the Beers of the Festival Competition held at Huddersfield Oktoberfest 2013.

Mild: Joint winners – Moonraker Mild, Empire, Slaithwaite and Sussex Mild, Harvey’s, Lewes

Bitter: Nelson Sauvin, Mallinson’s, Huddersfield

Strong: Rat Against the Machine, Rat & Ratchet, Huddersfield

Porter/Stout: 1872 Porter, Elland, Elland

Speciality: Silly Old Coot, Bird Brain, Howden

David Charlesworth (‘Charlie’) Award for Overall Beer of the Festival: Nelson Sauvin, Mallinson’s, Huddersfield

Cider/Perry: Whisky Cask, Udders Orchard, Huddersfield

Around 75 real ales, local & regional breweries, cider & perry bar
Thu 6pm – 10:30pm; Fri 12 noon – 11pm; Sat 11am – 11pm;
Entrance £1 CAMRA members, £3 non-members. No advance tickets
Refundable festival glass (with 1/3 pint measure), breweriana, products, charity raffle, good seating, level access, hot food
