Huddersfield Oktoberfest Beer & Cider Festival 2009

The Huddersfield Oktoberfest Beer & Cider Festival 2009 will be taking place at the Sikh Leisure Centre, Springwood, Huddersfield, HD1 2NX (map).

  • Thu 1st October 6:00pm – 10:30pm (not 6:30pm as previously advertised)
  • Fri 2nd October 12 noon – 11pm
  • Sat 3rd October 11am – 11pm
  • Over 80 real ales from local, regional & new micro-breweries
  • Cider bar featuring rare ciders & perries
  • Breweriana & products stall
  • Refundable festival glass with 1/3rd pint measure
  • Seating & hot food available

Branch Diary

Social at Rose & Crown, Thurstonland

On Saturday 26th Sept, 3pm, we will be having a Social at the Rose & Crown, Thurstonland, HD4 6XU (map).

We will be catching the 14:20 341 Huddersfield Bus Station, which arrives at Thurstonland at 14:49.

On the way back, we will be catching the 16:33 341 from Thurstonland which arrives in Huddersfield at 17:06.

Please note the 341 bus is operated by Huddersfield Bus Company, so FirstBus travel tickets are not valid.

The Last Post on the CamraNews Yahoo Group

After over 8 years and over 400 posts, it is unfortunately the end of the line for the CamraNews Yahoo Group. The last post has now been made to the group  (barring a couple of reminders in the future).

However, all is not lost! Huddersfield CAMRA has a brand spanking new website here at http://huddscamra.org.uk

As part of the website, there is a news feed which now contains all the info that used to be posted on the CamraNews Yahoo Group.

Furthermore, on the right hand side of the site, there is a box marked  “Subscribe by email”. Simply fill in your email address there and hit enter.  This will take you to Google FeedBurner, which will allow you to subscribe to  email updates – just like you get now from Yahoo Groups.

I hope you will join us here at the new website.

Branch Meeting & Social

The next Huddersfield CAMRA Branch Meeting will be held at the Lockwood,
Lockwood, HD4 6ER at 8pm on Monday 21st September 2009.

From Huddersfield, catch the 19:40 321 bus from Huddersfield Bus Station.

On Tue 22nd Sept, at 7:30pm we will be having a trip to Riverhead Brewery,
Marsden, HD7 6BR.

Catch the 18:50 185 bus from Huddersfield Bus Station
