Double Presentation & 2 Beer Festivals

We will be presenting both the Pub of the Year & Cider Pub of the Year awards to the Rat & Ratchet, Huddersfield (map) on Sat 1st May at 8pm.

We hope to see you at the presentation.

This coincides with the Annual Mild & Cider Festival at Rat & Ratchet on Sat 1st – Sun 2nd May. Beer & Cider list is available here.

Also, from Fri 30th Apr to Mon 3rd May, the Old Bridge Hotel, Holmfirth, HD9 7DA (map) will be holding their Ale Festival. Starts midday Friday. More info here.

Rat & Ratchet, 20 Continuous Years in the Good Beer Guide

This year marks a special anniversary for the Rat & Ratchet, one of Huddersfield’s most endearing real ale pubs. It is one of only a few local pubs to have featured continuously in every edition of the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the last 20 years. This is an outstanding tribute to the succession of owners and landlords who have consistently served Good Beer Guide standard real ale since the late 1980’s.

Autumn Pub of the Season Presentation at the Commercial, Slaithwaite on Mon 14th December

The Autumn Pub of the Season Presentation will take place at the Commercial, Slaithwaite, HD7 5AN (map) at 8pm on Mon 14th December.

This formerly keg  pub reopened earlier this year and now features 8 real ales & a real cider. The Commercial has been tastefully refurbished, with modern decor complementing the original features.
